The “Empowering Women for Sport events in Europe” project aims to promote the creation of a network of events dedicated to women’s sport in order to increase their positive social, economic and cultural impact and make them more eco-responsible and accessible. This project also focuses on the specific problems associated with being a female event organiser and the obstacles linked more specifically to women’s sports events.
- Several tools have been developed as part of this event:
- A toolbox for sports event organisers: this toolbox follows on from the analysis report produced as part of the project and aims to provide keys and advice to anyone interested in organising sports events in general, but also specifically sports events for women and girls, by tackling the obstacles raised in various areas.
- A guide to using the above-mentioned toolbox
- A mapping of sports events:
As part of this project, the Alice Milliat Association was asked to organize a Multiplier Sport Event. This event has a double objective: to bring together structures and women organizers of women’s sports events from different European countries while offering a time of exchange, awareness and sports challenges to women and young girls who are far from sports.
